Semglutide is a selective glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist that increases glucose-dependent insulin secretion, meaning it doesn’t carry the same risks of hypoglycemia as other diabetic medications. It also prevents inappropriate glucagon secretion (the hormone that raises blood sugar by releasing glucose stored in the liver) and slows the emptying of the stomach, making you feel more full between meals.

The initial consult fee is $150, and lab work must be completed before starting the program; if you have insurance, it can be used to cover the lab work costs.
