“Botox” Neuromodulators

These medications are injected into muscles to help relax and smooth out lines or wrinkles caused by exaggerated facial movements such as frowning. This is also important in anti-aging and preventing deep-set wrinkles, which is actually scarring within the skin. Maintaining these results is essential to prevent premature skin aging and deep wrinkles that end up needing further interventions, such as filler or laser resurfacing.

The name “Botox” is commonly used when discussing neuromodulators, because it was the first formulation of onabotulinumtoxinA, used clinically in the 1970s. Botox is a bit outdated and more expensive compared to the newer and better options such as Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) or Daxxify (daxibotulinumtoxinA-Ianm). Plus, we’ve ensured to only utilize neuromodulators that are free from lactose or cow’s milk protein, making them safe for our patients with these allergies.

Jeuveau is a more purified version of Botox. It has a quicker onset of action, within two days, it lasts up to 4 months, and is just as effective if not better than Botox. We offer special introductory pricing of $10/unit plus $40 off every 90-day visit with the “Evolus” rewards program.

Daxxify is a cutting-edge modification to traditional neuromodulators and includes an additional peptide, making it the only long-acting tox on the market. This peptide helps to stabilize the active ingredient, instead of using human blood products similar to the conventional frown line treatments. It is also free from any animal byproducts. This peptide also enhances attachment of the active ingredient, just like a magnet, better enabling the tox to enter nerve cells. Daxxify also has a quick onset of action within two days, lasting up to 6 months.

Your skin naturally contains hyaluronic acid (HA), which provides moisture, volume, and structure that helps it appear smooth and refreshed. Your skin produces less HA over time as you age. Traditionally, fillers have been used to augment the face and mask or “fill” wrinkles using a Hyaluronic acid gel-based product or Calcium hydroxylapatite. These injections are great for helping with the projection, lifting, and the defacement of wrinkles, creating volume and adding shape to the lips or cheek contour. Some patients may not be candidates for this treatment, as too much product in the wrong places can make the lower face appear heavy or puffy. We work closely with local plastic surgeons and can refer you to someone who can help you reach your aesthetic goals even if we cannot, as we believe in doing whats best for our patients.

Resilient Hyaluronic Acid or RHA - At Sunshine, we only use the best of the best, and this is why we have chosen to use the RHA® Collection of filler; this new designer filler is created by using a gentle manufacturing process to help preserve the natural structure of hyaluronic acid, which offers more flexibility and dynamic movement with expressions to look the most natural while retaining its shape and expert placement. Traditional fillers are not as resilient and look stiff and artificial, especially with animation. We also use these products due to their increased safety profile and ability to be dissolved or reversed if needed.

Pricing starts at $600 and increases based on the number of areas treated. We do not charge per syringe, as this is a medical treatment. Historically, patients, including myself, tend to want to “use up the syringe” in areas where it is not needed or warranted, leading to poor results.

Although many other facilities will treat high-risk area such as the nose, forehead, and frown lines, we believe that your health and safety comes first and avoid treating these areas. Beauty should not sacrifice function and health.

Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is extracted from your blood and injected into the scalp using a tiny needle for hair restoration or the skin to improve skin texture, quality, and thickness to restore youthful-looking skin and increase hair growth. PRP contains various growth factors that increase your stem cell proliferation, leading to improved growth of hair and increased collagen and elastin production. Results typically appear six weeks post-treatment, and a series of 3-4 treatments is recommended for optimum results, with an occasional maintenance treatment every six months to a year as needed.

Micro-needling

Micro-needling is one of the oldest cosmetic procedures, dating back to the early 1900s. It was initially used for scar revision utilizing a tattoo gun by surgeons, and they found that it worked wonders in the remodeling and healing of scar tissue adhesions. Not only does this procedure help with acne scarring, it also stimulates the rebuilding and repair of collagen and elastin, which improves skin texture and elasticity and reducing wrinkles. Since it does not utilize heat or chemicals, it can be used on all skin tones. This procedure is excellent because it can be done year-round with little to no downtime post-procedure, and when used with PRP, the healing time is even faster.

At Sunshine, we chose to use “SkinPen” because it is engineered and manufactured here in the U.S. and is the only FDA-cleared device. This device is also sterile, cordless, and impenetrable to bodily fluids, making it highly safe and sanitary. The needles in this device deliver 1,600 micro-channels per second and fully retract to prevent dragging on the skin. Thus, it provides the ultimate treatment and superior results to its competitors.

Our micro-needling procedures always include the face and neck, as one extends the other. This saves you money, as most facilities offer these services separately.

Add-on Services

Vitamin B12 Injections - This is an essential nutrient in which many people are deficient due to poor nutritional intake, low intake of high protein foods, vegan diets, intestinal malabsorption disorders, or patients who use antacids or metformin or have had gastric bypass surgery. Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to neurological degeneration, cognitive decline, numbness and tingling, anemia (low red blood cell production), osteoporosis, vision loss, depression, fatigue, and the list goes on. Vitamin B12 supplementation is essential for healthy hair, skin, nails, pregnancy, energy, vision, and more. Intramuscular injection is the preferred route of administration due to better absorption and less wasting by the kidneys. It may be added to any service for $25.
